Wine Seminars with Lisa Bruggink-Weis
In seasonal seminars local Club member Lisa Bruggink-Weis, sommelier & former wine industry professional, will take us through a tasting and discussion of wine varietals.During those delightful journeys through the world of vines you will learn more about how wine is made, how different climates impact flavours and how to note subtle differences between different grape types.We are looking forward to continuing our exploration of the wonderful world of wine together.

Italian Lessons
The Anglo-Swiss Club is keen to promote 'Members for Members' initiatives. One of these initiatives, which is possibly not well known but has been running successfully for a number of years, is the Italian class given by Irma. Irma worked for many years as a language teacher in secondary education here in Ticino and is a native Italian speaker.
The classes start again in September. The Beginner Group takes place every Monday between 2pm and 3pm and the Advanced Beginners for Members who have some knowledge of Italian between 3pm and 4pm.
The classes are small with a maximum of 4-5 people and the cost is Fr 20 per person per session and is paid directly to Irma. Members are welcome to attend a trial lesson. If you are interested, please contact Irma directly at ark@bluewin.ch or on 079 686 0388.
Our resident librarian
Paula is our librarian and dedicated to keeping the club library full of interesting books. She is very well read and if you are looking for a special book, please ask for her help! The library is open during our monthly coffee mornings.
The committee would be pleased if another book loving member would assist Paula.
