Introduction
The ASC Association ("we", "our", "us") in the context of its statutory activities aimed at encouraging the study of the English language, to enable English-speaking foreigners who find themselves in Locano to meet friends, to promote goodwill and understanding among people from Switzerland, Britain and the Anglo-speaking world, respects the privacy of its members, committee, conference participants, social activities and all those with whom it interacts.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information in accordance with the law and the Swiss Federal Data Protection Ordinance (DPA).

Data Collection
We collect or may collect personal data related to:
- Members and committee members: first name, last name, contact information, affiliation details.
- For outdoor activities and events, especially involving senior citizens, collecting health-related information might be necessary for emergency situations. Health information will be collected, used, and protected according to its sensitive nature and the legal basis for processing such data (e.g., explicit consent or vital interests of the data subject).
- Conference attendees: first name, last name, contact details, pictures, audio/video recordings.
- Guests from conferences, including those from abroad: first name, last name, contacts, professional details.
- Photographs, recordings, live streaming, or video broadcast of events or social occasions.

Purposes of Processing
Personal data are processed for:
- Management of the association, including communication with members and committee members.
- Organization and promotion of conferences or social events.
- Documentation of events through recordings, transcripts, photographs and videos.
- Use of images and recordings for corporate purposes, such as promotion and reporting on the association website for public use. Photography and video recording at events, and images might be used on social media, newsletters, or websites.  Opt-out mechanism for members who do not wish to be photographed or recorded can be put in force by contacting previously the Data Protection Officer.

Legal Basis
The processing of personal data is based on the consent of the data subjects, obtained in accordance with the Swiss Data Protection Act where applicable, of the European Data Protection Regulation GDPR.

We consider very important your privacy and the protection of your personal data. We are committed to a responsible handling of the processing and use of your personal data. This website can generally be visited without registration. We do not collect any personal data from you when you visit this website.
