2023 April Walk with Katy

Put on your walking shoes and come join us for a leisurely 1-1 ½ hr. walk in the

FOREST RESERVE BOSCO DI MAIA

The forest reserve is a protected area entirely owned by the Patriziato di Losone. It is left to natural evolution except for the hiking trails. In the reserve there are hills, outcroppings, creeks and wetlands that host a variety of wildlife.

We will be walking on the mostly flat part of the reserve on paths with loose rock, exposed roots, and stone steps.  Please wear good walking shoes with good soles, and bring walking sticks if needed for uneven terrain.

After the walk we will enjoy a nice lunch together at the Grotto Mulin di Ciöss in Arcegno.

Meeting point 10.30 Bus stop Arcegno, Chiesa (across from the church in Arcegno)

There is parking just below the church and cemetery. Blue disk required to park up to 4 hours. If you need a ride please let Katy know to help arrange with car sharing.
