Outing to Faido

On Wednesday 11 September there will be an outing to Faido. Unknown to most, Faido was the meeting place of the high society during the Belle Epoque (1884-1914).

Faido was also the first town in Ticino to get electricity, because of the importance as a tourism hot-spot during the Belle Epoque. The town has a Capuchin convent, which has the first wall painting of Fra Roberto, a renowned artist and Capuchin. Detailed information about the outing will follow at a later date.
