Fundraising auction

Wednesday, 18 December 2019 - We’ve all seen the drama of an auction on TV - the auctioneer with their quick fire speech, waving hands and pointing fingers. We are not Christie's or Sothebys but we are the Anglo-Swiss Club Locarno and we certainly can put on an auction!

A successful auction requires awe-inspiring items.  

  • Fun toys
  • Geeky alarm clocks
  • Comforting nightlights
  • Handwarmers....
  • A painting you have in your storage
  • Powder puffs.....
  • Souvenirs you loved but not longer want.
  • A vase
  • Decorations
  • Clothes
  • Costume Jewellery
  • Hiking boots
  • Wigs
  • Vintage articles of any kind (But not yourselves)


So let us, as Hercule Poirot used to say "use our little grey cells" to find some nice items for the auction/fundraiser event at the clubroom. All proceeds go into our coffee morning piggy bank and will be used to buy treats, drinks etc. decorations for our future events. The more the merrier!

Of course the club will be offering Prosecco and mince pies during the auction/fundraiser event! 

If you can't deliver the items yourself we can pick them up. This will be at the beginning of December 2019. 

You are welcome to join even if you have no items you want to get rid of! But you can purchase an item/items!
